Neels Van Heerden - Research

Neels started his career as a public relations practitioner at the University of Pretoria while completing his BSc-degree in Agricultural Economics in 1985. He then pursued further studies in marketing and a career in academia from 1987. He completed a BCom (Hons), MCom and doctorate in marketing while climbing the academic ladder from junior lecturer to associate professor in marketing at Tuks. In 2009 he was appointed as Associate Professor Agritourism Africa and head of the Department of Marketing, Logistics and Sport Management at Tshwane University of Technology. In 2015 he vacated this position and assumed the role of research professor in the Faculty of Management Sciences at TUT.

Johan Rothman - Videographer

Johan grew up on a farm near Balfour in Mpumalanga.

Always attracted to new technology, Johan started his career as a computer operator at the SABC a year before South Africa had its first television broadcast in 1976. When personal computers arrived on the global scene, Johan saw the opportunity and in 1981 founded Properdata that specialised in the development of agricultural applications. The company was very successful and had the majority share of farmers using its software all over South Africa.

Nomonde Qeqe - Volunteer

Nomonde Qeqe, known as “Ndesh’’ is a mother and aunt. She is a fashion stylist and a passionate photographer. She is an outgoing person and loves organising and attending events.
